That evening, I practice speaking out loud, alone in my apartment.
그날 저녁, 저는 아파트에서 혼자 소리 내어 말하는 연습을 합니다.

 

I say: "I met a friend of mine today. She told me about her new job. I was happy for her."

I pause and think about each word.

I is the subject, doing the action. Me is the object, receiving it. Her is both, object and possessive, depending on its place in the sentence.

I continue: "It wasn't my job she talked about, it was hers. But I felt like it was ours too, because we're friends."
