Chapter 1 : 수요일 아침, 두통 / Wednesday Morning, A Headache


It is Wednesday morning.
수요일 아침입니다.

 

I wake up slowly.
저는 천천히 일어납니다.

 

Something feels wrong.
무언가 이상합니다.

 

My head hurts.
머리가 아픕니다.

 

I sit at the kitchen table.
저는 부엌 테이블에 앉습니다.

 

Lucas looks at me carefully.
루카스가 저를 주의 깊게 바라봅니다.

 

He asks: "Are you OK? You look pale."
그가 묻습니다. "괜찮아? 창백해 보여."

 

I say: "I've got a headache."

He asks: "Do you have any medicine?"

I say: "No, I don't have any."

I take the medicine.

I say: "Thank you. You've got a good mother."

He smiles: "I know. I have the best."

"Today we learn two ways to say the same thing: have and have got."
오늘은 같은 의미를 표현하는 두 가지 방법을 배웁니다: have와 have got.

havehave got은 같은 의미입니다.
둘 다 소유, 관계, 상태를 나타낼 때 씁니다.

I have blue eyes. = I've got blue eyes.
Tom has two sisters. = Tom has got two sisters.

Chapter 2 : 서로의 소유물 이야기 / Talking About What We Have


In class Ms. Williams starts an activity.

She says: "Tell us something you have."
선생님이 말씀하십니다. "여러분이 갖고 있는 것을 말해보세요."

 

"Use have or have got. Both are fine."

Carlos goes first.
카를로스가 먼저 시작합니다.

 

He says: "I've got a big family."

Chapter 3 : 카페에서의 질문 / Questions at the Café


After class four of us go to the café.

Carlos, Yuki, Sofia and I.

Carlos suggests another game.

He says: "Ask someone if they have something."

"For questions, we use do you have? or have you got?"
질문할 때는 do you have? 또는 have you got?을 씁니다.

질문: do/does + 주어 + have? = have/has + 주어 + got?

"Do you have a camera?" "No, I don't."
= "Have you got a camera?" "No, I haven't."

"Does Jennifer have a car?" "Yes, she does."
= "Has Jennifer got a car?" "Yes, she has."

What kind of car does she have? = What kind of car has she got?
How many children do they have? = How many children have they got?

We are on the rooftop of my building.
