She shows a picture of a mother offering chocolates.

She says: "These chocolates are good. Would you like one?"

One and ones let me avoid repeating the same noun over and over, umbrella, notebook, shoes, books. English seems to love efficiency in small ways like this.
one과 ones는 제가 umbrella, notebook, shoes, books 같은 같은 명사를 계속 반복하는 걸 피하게 해줘요. 영어는 이런 작은 방식으로 효율성을 사랑하는 것 같아요.

 

I close my journal, satisfied with how naturally this small word now fits into my sentences.
